Clarity on the way forward!
A physicist’s approach to business and people challenges.
Helping individuals, teams, and organizations see their situation clearly and find their own way ahead.
No ready-made solutions. No unsolicited advice.
Hi, I'm Sebastian.
Welcome!
I’m a physicist turned facilitator and Lotscoach®
and founder of Integrating Perspectives.
In my experience, it’s rarely technical challenges that cause real problems. It’s people seeing the same situation completely differently. Conversations going in circles. Important questions that never get asked. Opinions held back because speaking up feels too risky. A tendency to rush towards solutions before anyone has named the real problem.
That’s where I work.
This is for you if...
You’re having the same conversations over and over and it keeps going back to where it started.
You’re sitting in meetings, everyone is nodding and then one of two things is happening:
a.) Nothing
b.) Several different interpretations of what has been discussed. You’re facing a big decision, and the more you think about it, the less clear it gets.
If any of that sounds familiar, taking a step back to reflect on the challenge in a structured way may be the only thing that’s missing.
That’s what I help with.
Good things start with a simple, honest conversation.

For leadership teams:
When the people steering a company, a department or a team don’t speak the same language about where things are going, everything slows down.Things might still look as if they are moving, but rarely in the same direction, draining energy, causing frustration and eventually costing real time and money.
I help leadership teams get genuinely aligned.
To achieve that, I work with LOTS®, a Swedish leadership philosophy and structured process with more than 50 years of practice behind it.
Not a one-size fits all framework imposed on you, but a common language for you to develop your own answers and receive a RoR, a Return on Reflection.Learn more about LOTS®

For teams at all levels...
who are facing a complex challenge:
Often, we believe we don’t have time to stop for a moment to think things through. But jumping to solutions immediately and running off in the wrong direction, solving the wrong problem is costly.
For these situations I developed the
A Physicist’s Approach to Business Challenges framework.
We apply scientific problem solving techniques to build shared understanding on what the real challenge actually is, and reframe it so solutions become more obvious.Just enough structure to be efficient, with enough flexibility and empathy to account for the human element.
Get in touch to discuss how this could look like for your situation!
For individuals:
1-on-1 coaching for people in professional transition.
Whether that’s a new role, a career shift or simply a moment where the old way of doing things stopped working. We work with the structured process of LOTS® and related coaching techniques to help you get a clear understanding of where you are, where you want to go, and what is needed to get there.
A space for you to think and talk things through,
and to be seen, heard, and encouraged
without receiving unwanted advice.

About
From physicist and materials scientist...
...to facilitator and Lotscoach®
I spent my early career as a Materials Development Engineer at a large corporation in the electronics industry, and earned my PhD doing research on ceramic thin films.
Towards the end of my PhD, my interests started shifting. First towards project management, then more and more towards collaboration, leadership, facilitation, and coaching.Partly it was frustration about projects getting stuck, silo-thinking, ill-aligned priorities and misunderstandings. Partly, the pull toward something more human had always been there. After moving to Sweden, I committed to it fully and founded Integrating Perspectives.
Building on my experience as an Agile Coach, I trained further, becoming an AJ&Smart certified Workshopper Master® and a certified Lotscoach®.Helping people, teams, and businesses do better work, more joyfully, is what gives this path meaning. As a human being, I am many things:
A husband, sailor, musician, friend, observer, speaker, learner, swimmer, son, lover of good food and wine, writer, and many other things....Mostly, I'm a deeply curious person who tries to see the beauty in small, everyday things.

Case Studies
A two-day LOTS® workshop to build a new leadership team’s shared direction:
Equilize and Hållbarhetsteamet
Jönköping, Sweden, May 2026
Equilize and their new partner Hållbarhetsteamet brought their leadership team together for two days in Jönköping, with three goals:
get clarity on the way forward, agree on concrete next steps, and build a genuinely strong working relationship as a new combined team.We worked with LOTS®, the leadership philosophy and structured process/tool I use for this kind of work.
The two days followed its natural arc:Day one started with the present situation: building a shared, honest understanding of where the organization actually stands today, and why. From there, we revisited their existing long-term vision, defined a clear purpose, what they do, for whom, and why it matters, and arrived at a 3-year goal.A small detail worth mentioning is that in LOTS® a goal isn’t a number, a metric or an activity. It’s a state the team wants themselves and the business to be in at a given point in the future, stated in the present tense, as if they were already there.Day two got concrete. A vision and a purpose set the direction, but the team still needs to act on them, so the second day was spent working through activities, competence and organization, responsibilities, ownership, and the financial reality of the plan. When decisions get specific, people's perspectives start to differ, that's normal, and working through it properly takes time. It's also where a plan stops being a flipchart exercise and becomes something the whole team actually stands behind. We closed by agreeing on the follow-up: what to monitor, how often, and when to revisit the plan* because change is the natural state, not an exception to plan around once and forget. My role as a Lotscoach® was not to hand over answers or give advice, but to guide the process and ask the questions that needed asking, including the uncomfortable ones.
Sometimes that meant staying actively involved, keeping the conversation focused. Other times, it meant sitting back and letting the room work it out on its own.
Two days. One leadership team. Clarity and a shared plan on the way ahead that everyone in the room helped build, and actually believes in.
Facilitating Foresight Across Roche’s Supply Chain Team:
An engaging 3-hour workshop format designed and led by Abbas Sbeity of Creative Insights Studio, with me as his collaboration partner on this project.
Roche PTS Leadership Summit,
Basel, Switzerland, March 2026
Roche's Pharma Technical Supply leadership came to their Leadership Summit with a layered brief: engage employees in the company's vision and strategy, expose leadership to the day-to-day realities of the people they lead, and get both groups doing real strategic thinking together, in a single three-hour session, with 130 participants drawing on summit leadership and employees from local sites.Abbas designed the response: Thrutopia, a three-step futures journey run across twelve mixed circles of leaders and employees, moving from an aspirational vision of the future, through a confrontation with present-day trends and tensions, to concrete commitments for what to build next. The session reshaped the rest of the summit. Leaders repeatedly remarked on how many ideas their own people already had, and spent the following sessions working out how to fold what they'd heard into their strategic planning.Abbas designed and facilitated Thrutopia, the format, the materials, the session itself are his. I came in as his collaboration partner, studying Roche's internal materials and context, and shaping parts of the design and the room together with him.

About LOTS®
What actually is LOTS®
You probably asked yourself that question while browsing through my site. You’re not alone, and I hear you.Even though LOTS® has been around and continuously developed since 1973, it's not widely known, especially outside of Sweden. In a nutshell, LOTS® is three things:
A Swedish leadership and coaching philosophy
A common language
A structured process and tool
The name LOTS® comes from the Swedish word "lots," which means maritime pilot. A pilot comes aboard ships to help them navigate the complexities of narrow passages and shallow coastal waters. Pilots don't replace the captain of the ship, and they don't take the helm. They guide the ship and crew to find the best possible course. That's exactly what I do as a certified Lotscoach® when working with your business, your team, or your personal and professional development. You stay in command. You steer. I guide. The core of LOTS® is to think and act outside-in and inside-out in a sustainable way. It’s the balance between those different perspectives we are seeking, not favoring one over the other. One of the things that makes LOTS® different from many other leadership frameworks are that goals are never a number, a metric, KPI, or an activity. Goals are a state we want to be in at a certain point in time, described in the present tense, as if we were already there. When working with LOTS® we are often creating a plan, but also the plan in itself is never a goal, but a vehicle to get there. It may sound like a small distinction, but it changes how a team thinks and where it’s actually heading.LOTS® believes in the value of reflecting properly and that the reflection process in itself has a value, not just the plan that comes out in the end.
It even coined a special term for it: RoR - Return on Reflection.I’m a certified Lotscoach® and LOTS® is one of the two main methods I work with. What I like about it is that the process and the related questions are complete. Answer all of them properly, and you have everything you need. But LOTS® has no opinion about how you get your answers, or how you put your activities into practice. LOTS® doesn't tell you to run things agile or waterfall, to do customer discovery or traditional market research. It leaves you completely free to bring in whatever other tools, frameworks, or thinking actually helps, which perfectly aligns with how I work in general:Structure where it’s needed, freedom everywhere else.To learn more about LOTS®, visit the LOTS® webpage.See how I work with LOTS®: A case study.
